The Responsa team celebrates the launch of the new phone service in Guildford High Street

ARMED with balloons, T-shirts, and giveaways, the team behind responsa has just announced that its award-winning voice request service has officially gone live in Guildford this month.

With the service now live for the town’s residents, consumers can use responsa’s fully automated, telephone-based service to submit enquiries to several potential suppliers simultaneously, with a single phone call.

The service goes a step beyond traditional Yellow Pages and directory assistance, as it enables consumers to record their exact requirements, and then matches these details with appropriate suppliers that can fulfil the request.

“With the responsa service now live in Guildford, local residents will never look at Directory Enquiries the same way again,” said Steve Isaac, Founder and CEO of responsa.

“Our service is unlike anything Guildford has seen before, as it automatically matches buyers with relevant, interested sellers, leading to a win-win service for both consumer and supplier.

The service is extremely easy to use.   You simply dial responsa, say what you need and hang up. Up to two suppliers that can meet your need will call you back. It’s that simple, no menus no hassle, one call does it all.

It’s simple for the suppliers too. For the ones that join the service, their phone rings, they hear your request, if they can service it, they press 1 and are given your number – if they can’t, they simply hang up and responsa moves on to the another supplier.

The accepts are then communicated to the customer automatically by voice or SMS, depending on the type of phone being used.

This benefits customers, but also has clear advantages for registered suppliers as well, since the service will provide a steady stream of hot leads that the supplier can choose to accept or decline.  So that they maintain ultimate control.

The responsa service already boasts suppliers in 13 different categories, including alternative medicine, builders merchants, building services, cleaning services, estate agents, financial services, florists and garages.
