Chichester Tourist Office launches a responsa trial.
Visitors to the historic town of Chichester will soon become the first users of a unique directory enquiries service. Chichester Tourist Information Office is to trial this new service from Responsa which offers tourists the best and most efficient customer service. Aimed at the many hotels in the town, the “VisitChichester Concierge Service” will allow visitors to make a single phone call and ask for exactly what they want – eg a taxi to the theatre, a tour guide to the city or a happening bar in town that has live music. Very quickly up to two relevant suppliers ring the caller back with the solution.
This fully automated service matches the visitor or local person with information on local attractions, whether it is live music, days out for the kids or a place of natural beauty. Responsa can be used on the way to Chichester, over lunch, while on a tour bus or from a local hotel.
“The Chichester District is one of the most beautiful areas in the country. We want to make it as easy as possible for tourists to find what they are looking for so that they can make the most of their time here and also want to return time and time again,” comments Councillor Margaret Field, Portfolio Holder for Culture and Sport at Chichester District Council. “This new technology will help make Chichester even more accessible and desirable to visitors, by offering an easy to use process, at no cost to the Council or tax payer. This in turn, will help us in our bid to boost the local economy even further.”
“Success in today’s economy is about satisfying customer needs efficiently and profitably, and in today’s busy world, services such as Responsa, that can take the hassle out of life will always do well,” comments Steve Isaac, Chairman of Responsa. “Responsa will allow Chichester Tourist Office to help their tourists to quickly and efficiently find and book the attractions that they have come to Chichester to see. It’s a very diverse service that can improve the quality of people’s lives conveniently by answering everyday tourist requests.”
Steve Isaac adds: “We are delighted to be associated with Chichester Tourist Information Office. They bring us an important first trial of the service which we ultimately see being replicated in classified directories.” Steve reinforces this further by emphasizing that: “Responsa is not just for tourist offices; the service could also be used to find a plumber, a restaurant, an upholsterer and many other services.” These services will be made available in the future.
The benefits of the service are clear: as a buyer you get an always available, convenient and easy to use service that brings solutions to your phone. As a seller, Responsa brings consumers to you who are ready to buy. It also offers valuable live information on market demands, and an opportunity to advertise via SMS or MMS.
Responsa is also marketing its services and platform to network operators and directory service providers in Europe and is in the planning stage for extensive market trials and research with a number of partners and potential customers. Steve Isaac says these trials are the culmination of months of planning and technical development and will showcase the value add which Responsa brings to consumers, sellers and directory service providers
The champagne was flowing today at the lunch of the “Visit Chichester Service Finder” as finding accommodation in Chichester has now been made much easier thanks to Responsa.
After nine months close co-operation with a Yellow Page Publisher, the organization has declined to sign an agreement enabling a joint venture launch of the Responsa service in their territory.
